Your ticketing

Do you want to allow your attendees to purchase multiple tickets at once, for themselves or for others? The ticketing allows you to manage this logic by distinguishing the purchaser from the registration of the ticket holders.

The ticketing logic on Eventmaker

The ticketing is based on a parent/children relationship :

  • The purchaser is the person who makes the purchase. They are registered as an attendee and may (or may not) buy a ticket for themselves.

  • The children are the attendees linked to the purchased tickets. Each has their own form, badge, and access to the event.

⚠️If the purchaser intends to attend the event themselves, they must purchase a ticket in their own name.

Configuration steps

1. Define the general rules

  • Ticketing name

  • Registration category of the purchaser (e.g.: Buyer, Company, Group manager)

  • Free or paid tickets

  • Applicable VAT (optional)

2. Create your tickets

Click Add a ticket to :

  • Create an associated category

  • Set a price (if paid) and the VAT

  • Limit the number of tickets per order

💡 You can add as many ticket types as needed (conference access, VIP, evening events, etc.).

3. Configure ticket forms

In the Configuration column, click the gear icon to customize ticket forms. You can also access them from the more classic registrations page.

You can :

  • Add or remove questions

  • Set required fields

  • Manage confirmation emails

4. Grant access

Tickets can grant access to different areas of your event (entrances, workshops, conferences). These accesses are managed at the registration category level via the management of accreditations.

Managing emails and invoices

  • The purchaser receives the confirmation email and the overall invoice.

  • Ticket holders can receive an individual email if they have an email address provided and the option is enabled.

⚠️ If you do not collect email addresses for tickets, they will only be managed by the purchaser.

Best practices

Use ticketing if:

  • You are targeting groups of attendees (6+ people),

  • You want to simplify multi-person registration management,

  • You are not collecting detailed information on each attendee.

Prefer sub-forms if:

  • You are managing small groups (1 to 5 people),

  • You need precise data on each attendee (email, last name, first name, etc.),
