Registering for a session on Eventmaker

There are several ways to register a participant for a session on Eventmaker. Depending on the chosen method, the registration can be done by the participant themselves, or by an organizer from the back office.

Introduction

Sessions (conferences, workshops, keynotes, etc.) are key elements of an event. To allow participants to attend them, they must be assigned an accreditation. This can be added in several ways, depending on the level of autonomy you want for your participants.

1. From the registration form

This is the most common method. During event registration, the form can include one or more "accreditation" blocks listing the available sessions. The participant checks the ones they wish to attend.

💡 This method is also compatible with sub-forms, for companions.

2. From the website

On the website generated by Eventmaker, you can display a detailed program: topics, speakers, rooms, time slots, etc. If the participant is logged in, they can click directly to register for a session.

Advantages:

  • Smoother experience

  • A dedicated page offering more than a simple form

  • Improved search, filters and usability

Access to certain sessions can be restricted by segment using conditional display.

3. From a category's configuration

Do you want a registration category to have default access to certain sessions? It is possible to assign these accesses from the category's accreditation settings.

All participants in that category will receive the selected accreditations without any action on their part.

4. From the back office (participant record)

From the Participant list tab, you can open a participant's record and manually add one or more accreditations for them.

Ideal if you want to manage registrations on a case-by-case basis, or grant exceptional access to a session.
