Question types available in an Eventmaker form

Below you will find the list of question types you can use on Eventmaker to enrich and structure your form :

Short text (Text field)
→ For a brief answer (e.g.: first name, company, email).

Paragraph (Text field)
→ For a long multi-line answer (e.g.: comments, motivations, expectations…).

Dropdown list (Value list field)
→ To offer a list of single- or multiple-choice options in a dropdown menu.

Checkboxes
→ To allow selection of multiple responses (e.g.: topics, skills).
⚠️ Warning: This question type should be mainly limited to communication opt-in questions (Organizer or Event). We recommend prioritizing dropdown lists or radio buttons.

Radio buttons (Value list field)
→ To enforce selection of a single option among several (e.g.: status, title).

Accreditations (Check-in point)
→ To allow registration to programme sessions or access points.
These items can be free or paid.

Products (Products module)
→ To allow participants to select offers provided by the organizer (services, products, support packages…).

Interests (Topics module)
→ To propose topics or themes to check, often used for networking (matchmaking).

Date picker (Text field with date format)
→ To allow the participant to choose a date (e.g.: date of birth, arrival date, appointment…).

Upload a file (File field)
→ To allow the participant to upload a document (CV, photo, certificate…).

Hidden field (Text field or pre-filled value)
→ To embed an invisible value in the form (e.g.: URL variable, hidden field, conditional display triggered in the background).

Hierarchical list (Hierarchical field)
→ To structure nested choices (e.g.: Country > Region > City).

Options available for each question :

  • Required : check “Must be filled” to make the response mandatory (a red asterisk will appear).

  • Editing rights :

    • Editable : visible and editable by the participant at any time.

    • Non-editable : only the organizer can modify the data from the participant's record.

    • Non-editable on edit : once the registration or the step is validated, the data can no longer be modified by the participant.

  • Advanced options :

    • Help message (description displayed under the question),

    • Validation criteria (minimum length, expected format),

    • Conditional display (based on another answer or a hidden field).

All questions can be modified even after registrations have opened.

Options specific to accreditations :

Accreditations allow you to register participants for sessions (conferences, workshops…) or other access points.

Integration modes :

Default mode : manual addition of sessions one by one.

Advanced mode : automatic retrieval of sessions with filters applied (topic, speaker, venue…).

Possible selection types :

  • Single choice (radio button),

  • Multiple choice (checkboxes).

Options available for each accreditation :

  • Display of session description,

  • Management of schedule conflicts (prevent double bookings),

  • Advanced filters (topics, metadata…),

  • Modification of displayed label,

  • Manual ordering,

  • Display of remaining seats,

  • Conditional display (by segment or by form logic).

⚠️ Warning : accreditations are linked to check-in management. Make sure to call only the check-in points that are actually useful for your category.

Options specific to Products questions

Product-type questions allow your participants to select offers available at your event (e.g.: services, packages, visibility options…).

They are directly linked to the Products module of the Eventmaker platform. The items displayed in this question therefore depend on the products created and configured beforehand.

  • Description
Displays a help text under the question.

  • Display illustration
Displays the image associated with the product (useful to make it more visual).

  • Enable search
Allows the participant to filter products if the list is long.

  • Show product description
Displays the descriptive sheet configured in the product (visible only if it is filled in).

  • Show remaining seats
Shows in real time the number of units still available (useful if a quota is enabled on the product).

  • Quantity limits
Allows imposing a minimum or maximum per participant, per product.

  • Conditional display
Allows showing this question only if a condition is met (answer to another question or an invisible segment).

Note

  • This question type does not allow single or multiple choice like accreditations. The participant enters a quantity for each listed product.

  • The question is directly connected to the Products module, which implies that :

    • stocks and quotas are handled automatically,

    • exports consolidate purchase information by participant.
