How does Magic Link activation work?
Links to your site’s pages sent by Eventmaker (for example in an invitation or confirmation email) are Magic Links by default.
This means that a participant who opens one of these links is immediately recognized and logged in — no additional action is required to "activate" the feature.
And the "Sign in via Magic Link" button?
You can add a "Sign in via Magic Link" button on your site for participants who have not clicked a Magic Link in their email.
In this case:
The participant clicks the button.
They arrive on a page where they enter their email address.
They then receive a Magic Link by email, which they click to access the site directly.
Key points :
Magic Links are already active by default in all links sent by Eventmaker.
The "Sign in via Magic Link" button is only a fallback solution to allow a participant to receive a secure link on demand.
