Create a blog post
First, to create a blog post, go to the Articles section, accessible from the Website tab of your platform.
Click the + Create a new post button to open its configuration panel and enter the information in the respective fields.
From this configuration panel, you can add the 5 fields common to all posts, namely
Title The name of your post
Status The publication status is associated with a publication date; this is important to prepare posts scheduled for a future date. ⚠️ When a post has a publication date later than the current date, an icon is displayed next to its publication status.
Topics You can choose to add as many topics as you want to a post, which will be useful when your attendees want to find content related to their interests.
Illustration Display an image in the list of posts directly on your website.
Excerpt Short excerpt or description of the post; use it to pique your readers' interest in the content of your post.
Here is how all the above elements appear on the web page
As with any web page, you can translate a post's attributes and its sections.
Add content to a post
Once your blog post is created, you can add content by stacking sections, like any other web page. To do this, special sections dedicated to blogging have been created for you. Here is the list
Text Add written content to your post and customize it like any other Text section on your website
Title Add a title and/or subtitle to your post and choose how to display it
Text and image columns Split your content into up to 4 columns; you can add text, an image and/or a button to each of them
Button group Add a group of buttons to your post; they are the same type as regular website buttons
Testimonials As with the website section, manually add your clients' spoken testimonials.
Image Upload one or several photos (one per section) to your post; you can add an external link so your readers can click on them
Video Add a YouTube, Vimeo or Dailymotion video to your post
When duplicating an event
When you duplicate an event, all blog posts are also duplicated automatically. The publication date of the duplicated posts remains the same as in the original event. This allows you not to start from scratch every year.
Duplicate a specific post
You can also duplicate a post :
within the same event,
or to another event.
Steps :
Click the duplicate icon in the list of posts.
Select the target event.
Give a new name and, if needed, edit the URL path (slug).
Click Confirm duplication.
If a topic, segment or category does not exist in the target event, Eventmaker will recreate them automatically to ensure consistency.
Thanks to this feature, you can now easily reuse posts published during a past event (for example the previous edition of a trade show) and integrate them into the new event, adapting them if necessary.
