Edit a participant's information: form or back office?

Discover the two methods available on Eventmaker to update your participants' information.

Updated over a week ago

On Eventmaker, you have two options to edit your participants' information individually.

Editing via the form

  • Access : accessible from the event site or from the individual view.

  • User : participant or member of the organization.

  • How it works : allows a user to enter or update their own information through the registration form.

  • Features :

    • Only the fields configured in the form are visible and editable.

    • Form rules apply (required fields, display conditions, validations).

    • The user can only modify their own data.

Editing via the back office

  • Access : reserved for organizers with the necessary access rights.

  • User : event organizer.

  • How it works : allows viewing and editing of all participants' data directly in the back office.

  • Features :

    • Access to all fields, including those not visible on the site.

    • Ability to correct or complete information even if the form is no longer active.

    • Allows bulk or targeted modifications on multiple records at once.

In summary

  • Form : editing limited to visible fields. 💡 Simple and intuitive.

  • Back office : full editing by the organizer. ⚠️ More technical interface.
