You have a list of participants from different events with profiles that sometimes correspond to Press, Exhibitors, Visitors and you no longer know exactly where and how your participants should be distributed?
You can use an automation on Eventmaker to make the task easier, also using a temporary category. The idea is as follows :
Step 1: Create a category "To sort" with a simple form that contains a radio button question "Role" where participants will have to choose between the different profiles present.
Step 2: Send an initial campaign to your participant base so they can define their profiles.
Step 3: Start the automation ⇒
The trigger - A participant is updated; specify here the "To sort" category to avoid affecting the other participants of the event.
A condition: Here that the Role question has the answer "Press" (The value will need to be changed for other automations used for sorting)
An action: Change the participant's category to move them to the Press category; do not send a confirmation email, because we did not obtain the information necessary for the journalist's registration.
An action: Send an email with the link to the registration form of the new category.
You will need to create other automations for each category that will allow you to sort.
