Manage segments
A segment is a filter applied to the participants of your event, that is saved, with a dynamic count of results depending on the evolution of your registrations.
Segments therefore allow you to save advanced participant searches and easily access them later. Some segments exist by default, for example the segment Inscrits corresponds to all participants whose status is: Inscrits.
Create a segment
To create a segment, go to the Participants list tab > Advanced search, then select your criteria and create your segment by assigning it a name.
Edit a segment
You can also find the list of your segments by clicking the More button > List of segments. From this view, you can rename, edit, or delete a segment you no longer use.
Why use segments
Segments are used throughout the Eventmaker platform. They are very useful because they allow you to :
restrict the publication of your content
target your communications
filter your data analyses
On the participants list
First, to simply recall a previous search: only participants matching your segment's filters will be displayed in your view.
⚠️When displaying the participants list, segments will be shown by default from most recently created on the platform to oldest. If you want to set an alphabetical order or any other, you must define that order when creating the segment using sorting. You can also correct an existing segment by going to More, List of segments and editing it.
On web pages
Do you want to display your exhibitors list? Call the appropriate segment in your web page configuration via the section Participants list.
In email campaigns
To send your campaigns, you must select a segment as the recipient.
In your statistical reports
A data analysis applies to a selection of participants. Refine your statistics and reports by sorting them by segment.
