Configure a button
On the website On your website, add the Button Group section to your web page. At the bottom of the section, add as many buttons as you want. Each button can be of a different or similar type; their configuration is independent from one another.
Button types
Several button types exist on the Eventmaker platform; here is the list and their descriptions :
External link
This button allows you to send the user to the web page of your choice by entering an external URL in the text box. You can also force the page to open in a new tab. ⚠️ The link added must be in the http:// or https:// format
Link to a page on the site
If you want to link the button to another page on your website, select this button type, then select the page to which you want to redirect your user. ⚠️ You cannot choose a registration page as a redirection; prefer the Registration button type presented below.
Link to a file
This button allows your users to trigger a download of a file that you have previously uploaded to our web storage service, AWS. To upload a document for download, select the Link to a file button type and click Select a file. ⚠️ The total size of all files to upload must be less than 15 MB to be made available to your attendees.
Registration
This button can be used for several use cases.
All visitors Triggers a new registration for all visitors. In this case, you must choose the category in which the new registrant will be placed.
Unknown visitors Applies to people who are not yet present in your participant list. Again, you must choose the category to which the button redirects in order to display the appropriate form.
Known visitors Applies only to visitors already present in your participant list. When clicked, the visitor will be redirected to the chosen step of the form for their category or directly to the confirmation page according to your setting.
Confirmation page
This button type is only available for emails. It allows you, as an organizer, to push the registration confirmation page to your participants. By clicking the button, they will be taken to the confirmation page of the category to which they belong.
Badge
With this button type, you can allow your participants to generate and download their badge, if it has been configured beforehand.
Document
Button that lets you choose a document generated in the different categories of your event. On click, if the participant's category contains the document selected when configuring the button, the document download will start automatically.
Add to my calendar
This button, as its name suggests, allows your participants to select the Calendar to which they want to add the event.
RSVP Accept
Button that leads to the participant's registration form. The participant must exist in the back office (BO) (and therefore be part of a category) to access the form of the category to which they belong. For this button to work, participants invited by your partners must be imported into your participant list, at least so they are present by their email address and in your partner's category. This button also allows changing a category without necessarily going through a form.
RSVP Decline
This button works the same way as above; the participant must already be present in your participant list for the action to be triggered.
Payment link
This button is only available when sending an email. As the name suggests, this button type allows you to link to the payment page of the participant's category. Therefore, the Payment block must have been added to the participant's category and the participant must have an unpaid cart.
Login via SSO
By clicking this button, your participants will be redirected to the SSO login page of your website. ⚠️ For the button to work correctly, SSO must be enabled on your account.
Login via the magic link
Like the previous button, clicking this type of button redirects to the email and password login page of your website.
You can restrict access to a website via magic link to a segment only. This prevents unknown people from being added as invited participants in the participant list. This option can be enabled in the Event. tab.
⚠️ The button can only work if SSO is disabled on your account.
💡 There is also a download link button for leads/visitor journeys, but it is only present in your emails. You can also find this button in the Leads and Visitor Journeys sections to allow your participants to download them directly from your website.
