Advanced Search lets you find specific guests in your participant list using multiple criteria that you can combine. From this view, you also have the opportunity to create segments.
Accessing Advanced Search
Click on Advanced Search next to the participant search bar. A window appears from which you can filter the search fields.
Each time you perform a search, it is displayed in your search bar. If you want to share your search, you can copy/paste the text from the search bar and send it to your colleagues or create a segment so that it is saved in your BO.
Filter by field :
Choose a field: here you will find all participant fields you can use to find people who share common answers. You can select multiple fields at once.
Filter by Affinity :
Participant category: here you can select the different participant categories you have created.
Labels: you can select labels.
Interests: the concept of interests was introduced to enable scoring and matchmaking between participants. Interests are associated with the themes of your program (conferences, workshops, etc.). Performing a search by interest allows you to identify who is interested in a particular theme.
Filter by registration date :
Registered after: you can select a date and time to find participants who registered after a certain day.
Registered before: same principle, but this time find participants who registered before a certain date.
Filter by status :
Participant status: by default, the status "Registered" is selected. You can choose another status from: Registered; To invite; Pending validation; Rejected; Registration in progress; Declined.
Payment status: for events that have implemented online ticketing or that are paid you can use the payment status: Unpaid; Free; Partially paid; In progress; Cancelled; Refused; Refunded.
Event attendance status: once the event has finished, you can see which participants attended or did not attend the event.
Filter by Check-in point :
Registrations at check-in points: you can see people who registered for a check-in point via the registration form or by import.
Passed through check-in points: here you can find, after the event, the people who passed through each of your check-in points.
Filter by engagement level :
Engagement is a score that is updated when a participant performs an action. Actions can include: registration, adding/removing a session, adding/removing a lead, visiting a page on the site, check-in/check-out, opening/clicking an email. Thus, almost all participants will have an engagement score.
A search by engagement level is available on the participant list, which will allow you to identify more or less engaged people in order to qualify your audience.
This search will allow you to display the list of people moderately OR highly engaged. There are five engagement levels :
Filter by interest levels:
This section of advanced search allows you to identify people with higher or lower engagement relative to an interest (program theme - conferences/workshops).
In this example, we will search for participants with a low or high interest in 'Theme 1' OR 'Theme 2'.
Filter by email responses
This section allows you to filter by email responses, i.e., to find people who opened the email, who clicked a link in the communication, etc., regardless of which email. ⚠️ You will need to go to the Campaign tab to see their results. You can choose yes or no for each of these questions.

Filter by opt-in
To be GDPR compliant, we are required to have opt-in questions that ask for permission to communicate with your participants. Thus, we have created two opt-in fields:
The 'event communications' opt-in field is related to communications specific to the event, and the 'organizer communications' opt-in field is related to all your communications, not specific to a single event.
⚠️ If you use multiple fields, you can add criteria to one another. By default, the logical operator is "and", meaning it applies to people who meet criterion A and criterion B.
Once all your filters are selected, click the button OK at the bottom of the window. The list of participants matching your search will then be displayed.
You can also save the criteria of your advanced search by creating a new segment.
To go further...
If you want to exclude a piece of data, simply add a "-" before the search term that would return it.
