Payment solutions
Enabling the payment feature allows you to set up paid registration and will make the Payment tab appear in the Event section of your back-office navigation menu.
View of the Payment tab
From this tab, you can choose the default VAT rate for your event. You can also make your cart available across the entire website to facilitate payments or restrict it to your registration & payment pages.
To configure the payment services integrated into the platform, go to the Integration page where you can choose the solution that suits you.
Test and production environments
No matter which Payment tool you configure on your platform, two different environments, test and production, are available to you:
The test environment allows you to perform all your payment tests without actually paying for your registration, so you can ensure everything is in place before launching paid registrations for your event.
The production environment must be set up when launching paid registrations for your event. This is the environment that allows your participants to complete a transaction on your website.
⚠️ If you or your participants receive an error message during a payment on your platform, check which environment you are in on the platform and on the selected payment service.
Configure Stripe
First you will need to create a Stripe account. Once created, activate your Stripe account by following the steps indicated on their platform. You are then ready to link Eventmaker and Stripe to test or open your paid registrations.
You will then need to enter the information you will retrieve from the Stripe back office. Go to the Dashboard, Developers section > API keys and copy the test keys if your environment on Eventmaker is in test, or the production keys if you are ready to open paid registrations.
From your Stripe account you can define the recurrence of transfers to your bank account. These transfers can be manual, daily, weekly, or monthly.
⚠️ You will need to upload the account representative's identity document before you can receive your transfers.
You will then finally need to set up your credentials on the Eventmaker side using those already in your account or by adding new ones.
The configuration is then complete. You can open your paid registrations and collect payments from your participants!
Configure Worldline
First you will need to create a Worldline account. Once created, enter the information on the configuration page that you will retrieve from the Worldline back-office. Migration API DIRECT
API key/secret
We no longer use SHA IN and SHA OUT. You must now generate API key/secret on the Worldline BO and enter them in EM:
Go to Configuration > technical information > API parameters > Direct API key
Good to know :
The API secret/password is only visible at generation. Remember to enter it in EM.
Webhooks
Webhooks replace callback links, so you must generate Webhooks Key/secret on Worldline:
Go to Configuration > technical information > API parameters > Webhooks configuration
Good to know :
The webhook secret is only visible at generation. Remember to enter it quickly in EM.
Then in Target URLs, paste :ttps://app.eventmaker.io/fr/events/ogone_asynchronous_request
Global security settings
In the Character encoding section, select UTF-8. For the other settings in the section, keep the default options.
Global transaction settings
Go to: Configuration > Technical information > Global transaction settings
Set the account to debit/sale mode (sale mode)
Check the Sale box in Default operation code
The account is in debit/sale mode; you can change it but you will have to capture transactions yourself.
Multiple sites with the same Ingenico account? In the data and origin control, be careful to verify the merchant page URL to enter, and add all your relevant site URLs:
Configure Paybox
First you will need to create a Paybox account. Once created, enter the information on the configuration page that you will retrieve from Paybox.
NB: HMAC must be generated from the Paybox dashboard. You will need one for the Preprod environment and another for the Production environment.
The configuration is then complete. To perform a payment test, change the environment from Prod to Preprod on Eventmaker, access a registration form, choose a test card and enter the payment information.
💡 By enabling the Invoicing feature, you will also have access on the same tab to the configuration of our invoicing provider, Zoho.
Enable payment
Start by enabling payment on your paid category. To do this, go to the Registration section, select one, then click Add features: Participant category
The menu below will appear; select the first option, payment.
Payment will then be activated; click on the related tile and you will arrive on this options page. You must then check the payment method(s) you will allow to enable your participants to pay. You can add a registration fee for the category. To manage registration fees, you can also enable Ticketing.
For an event where your participants are companies, we also recommend setting up our invoicing system to easily send them receipts.
Intracommunity VAT exemption
It is possible to apply a VAT exemption to your paid registration processes. To do so, use the VAT number field which is a native field of the platform. Then check the VAT exemption box in the payment module of your category.
⚠️ The exemption then applies to all EU countries, excluding the country where the event takes place.
Refunds from the back office
From now on, when you trigger a refund on Eventmaker, the refund on the payment provider is also processed automatically.
How the new refund feature works
This automated refund process works with the three payment providers already supported by Eventmaker: Ogone/Veriphone, Paybox and Stripe (including iDEAL payments).
Required configuration
Implementation of this feature requires the configuration of some additional settings:
Ogone/Veriphone: API login credentials are now required. They can be generated on the Ogone dashboard.
Paybox: The "key" field is now required.
Stripe: No new configuration is required for Stripe.
Important considerations
Please note that some banking institutions may take time to display a refund. For some users, it may therefore take a while before the refund is visible.
Refund details
Once the refund has been processed, you can see its details in the cart details. In case of errors, these will also be displayed there.
