Enable multiple languages

  1. Go to the Translations tab.

  2. Click Add translation languages.

  3. Select the languages you want to enable.

โš ๏ธ Important: correctly set the primary language of your event before adding other languages. If you want to change the primary language, you will first need to remove all secondary languages.

Translate your content

All content visible to your attendees can be translated:

  • Website pages

  • Forms

  • Emails

  • Banners

  • Custom fields

  • System messages

Eventmaker provides a dedicated translation tool, accessible from the Translations tab, which also allows inviting translators without giving them access to the configuration.

โš ๏ธ Translations cannot be duplicated automatically from one language to another.

Specifics of participant fields

When a participant field is created and translation is enabled:

  • A duplicated field is generated for each language, with:

    • a suffix,

    • and a corresponding flag.

Each language must be filled individually.
If a field is not filled in a language, the content in the primary language will be displayed by default.

Automatic translation (via Google Translate)

Eventmaker offers an AI-assisted automatic translation, available from the Translations tab:

  1. Enable one or more languages.

  2. Select an item to translate (e.g.: page, field, email).

  3. Click to automatically generate the translation.

โš ๏ธ The integrated AI is powerful, but not professional:

It behaves like a very good bilingual student, but may make errors of meaning, particularly on technical, ironic or contextual terms.

Example: the word "Bridge" could be translated automatically as "bridge" instead of preserving the meaning "identification bridge" in a medical or professional context.

Function "Translate All"

The Translate All button allows you to:

  • Delete all existing translations on the siteโš ๏ธDeleted items cannot be recovered,

  • Then restart the automatic translation of all site elements.

Ideal to reset translated content before proofreading or new import. Donโ€™t forget to check them!

Change the Eventmaker interface language (Back-office)

The back-office is available in:

  • French ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท,

  • English ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง,

  • Dutch ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ.

To change the language:

  1. Click your avatar at the top right.

  2. Select the language of your choice from the dropdown menu.

If you want to use a language not yet available for the admin interface, contact the Eventmaker team to add it to the development cycle.
