SMTP & Multiple Addresses

This feature is admin only, which means that only Eventmaker employees can make changes. Please contact your dedicated CSM or chat support if you need configuration for this.

Updated over a week ago

From the SMTP tab, configure the email address from which you will send communications for all the events in your account.

Eventmaker platform emails all originate from the addresses:
1 - notifications@eventmaker.io (Personal send)
2 - noreply@awesomevent.net (Email campaign)
3 - confirmation@eventmaker.io (Confirmation & Moderation)
4 - noreply@eventmaker.io

However, you have the option to use a dedicated sending server for your emails. This means that all your emails will be sent from an address you have determined and that you own.

This configuration must be completed with an Eventmaker representative, but here is what you can prepare on your side.

What you need

  • Have a domain name that you own and to which you have access.

  • A contact who can perform some technical configurations on your domain (relatively simple instructions will be sent by one of our developers).

  • Have defined the email address you wish to use.

The configuration is then carried out largely on our side.

⚠️ This service is not included in Eventmaker's subscription or base software. Please contact your Eventmaker contact for more information.

💡 It is possible to configure multiple sending addresses and use the one you want depending on the email you are configuring.

How to configure multiple sending addresses

1. Configure multiple addresses for your account

Ask a CSM to set up different sending addresses at the account level (usable across all your events) or for a specific event.

2. Use these addresses for your confirmation email

Go to the registration tab, in the desired category. Open the side panel to edit your email and expand the "Advanced options" section. You will see a new sending email dropdown. From there, you can choose one of the addresses you previously configured.

3. Email campaigns

You will be able to select the desired email address when creating the campaign.

4. Moderation email and edit link email

The procedure is exactly the same. You must enable these emails and then use the side panel to configure them.

5. Lead export email

Again, the process is the same for the lead export email. You can configure it using the same side panel.

6. Visit trail summary and export emails

Go to the "Engagement" tab, then the "Visit Trail" tab, and click the "Configure this Email" button. You will get the same side panel.
